Conway "Butch" Monfeldt, age 64 of St. Paul Park, passed away August 10, 2015 at Our Lady of Peace in St. Paul.
Memorial service will be 11:00 am, Friday, August 21, 2015 at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 – 80th Street S., Cottage Grove, with gathering of family and friends for one hour prior. Private interment will be at Lewis Cemetery, Lewis, Wisconsin.
Conway "Butch" Martin Monfeldt was born April 21, 1951 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Dewert and Mary Ann (Boche) Monfeldt. He graduated from Frederic High School in 1969 and entered active duty in the US Navy, where he served honorably until 1971. Early on, Butch developed a love for working on cars, fixing engines and doing auto body work. He enjoyed hunting in northern Minnesota and Canada. Butch worked at the Ford Auto Plant in St. Paul for over 30 years, serving in a variety of positions during that time. He also enjoyed life on the farm and watching The Price Is Right.
Butch is survived by his four children, Valarie (Joe) Miller, Matthew, Conway and Jessica Monfeldt; grandchildren, Makayla and Eliah; longtime partner, Cynthia Maki; sisters, Carrol Morse, Joyce Johnson, Darla Peppin, Debbie Harron, Vicky Reigert and Joan Osgood; several nieces nephews and extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Howard Giller; brother-in-law; Harold Morse; and significant other, Dianna Riley.
