passed away peacefully at Regina Nursing Home Sunday evening Jan. 6, 2008.
Clarence was born April 15, 1927 in Grand Forks. He graduated from Grand Forks High School and University of North Dakota. He attended graduate school at Ohio State. On August 22, 1959 he married JoAnn Schneider in Mt. Carmel, North Dakota. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was employed by the United States Postal Service. He was a member of the American Legion.
Loving husband of JoAnn; loving father of Gwendolyn (Peter) Newell, Douglas (Cindy) all of Bend, Oregon; grandchildren Jessica & Vincent; brother Gordon (Sandra) of Mesa, AZ; sisters Colleen Abar of Mesa, AZ, Mary Ellen (Jim) Haugen of Novi, MI.
Preceded in death by parents Gordon & Edith, brothers John & Robert all of Grand Forks, ND.
Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Thursday at ST. RITA?S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 8694 80TH St. S. Cottage Grove. Private Inurnment Ft. Snelling. Visitation 9-11 AM Thursday at church.
