81, lifelong resident of St. Paul Park Area. Died peacefully surrounded by loving family on June 26, 2014.
Clarence "Pinky" was born to Clarence & Hollis (nee: Monjeau) Conrad January 1, 1933 in St. Paul Park, Minnesota. He joined the Air Force in 1953 and was honorably discharged in 1957 after 4 years of service to his county. Pinky married Jean Pranke of St. Paul & St. Paul Park February 15, 1958 at The Little Brown Church in the Vale in Nashua, IA. They settled in St. Paul Park/Cottage Grove area and were blessed with one son and three daughters. Pinky enjoyed his annual family fishing trips to Lake of the Woods, camping, his tractor which included many hayrides thru the streets of St. Paul Park and Cottage Grove and his Harley.
He had a lifelong career driving semi for 67 years. He was an original founding member of the Cottage Grove fire department serving 20+ years, an original police reserve for Cottage Grove, a 50 year member of St. Paul Park Legion, active in the color guard,
Pinky is survived by loving wife of almost 58 years Jean; son Tim (Doreen); daughters Terri (Rick) Obitz, Lori, Lisa (Rob) Dack; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sisters Margie Bressler, brother David (Ruth); many other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by parents; siblings Chuck, Jim, Betty, Penny. Funeral service 4pm Tuesday at KOK Funeral Home, St. Paul Park (1201 Portland Ave.) with visitation 4-9 Monday and one hour prior to funeral service. Interment Newport Cemetery.
