Cindi Lindell

Cindi (nee Skantz) Lindell, age 54 of Cottage Grove, passed away peacefully while surrounded by family on Sept. 15, 2017 following a courageous battle with cancer.

Celebration of Cindi’s Life will be from 1-5 pm with a service at 2 pm on Saturday, September 23, 2017, at 8336 River Road, Inver Grove Heights, MN 55076. At Cindi’s request, colorful casual attire is requested.

Our “Cinni" was born and raised in Ely, MN. She was the 3rd child of Carl and Shirley Skantz. Her childhood was joyful and exuberant, surrounded by Sisters, Sister, Sisters, Sisters, and finally her baby Brother. She graduated from Ely Memorial High School and moved on to yet more school and to explore what the world had to offer.

Cindi brought into this world two Beautiful children, Dustan and Karisa. Her two children filled her heart with so much love and joy. After that, Dustan filled her heart with her first grandchild, Hudson. There are no words to express the joy he brought to her when she became a Grandma. To add to that joy, another grandchild, Jermiah, also filled her heart.

Cindi married Jerry in August of 2012 They made their home in Cottage Grove, MN, where she lived the rest of her life.

Cindi brought her family together on many different occasions, some happy and some sad. With her caring and loving heart, she made a sad moment into a joyous moment, making us laugh and remember what family was all about.

Cindi loved the outdoors, spending time with her family, and telling jokes.

It’s hard to imagine that Cindi is gone; our hearts are sad and broken. We know Cindi would want us to remember the memories and fun times and not be sad, but to live joyfully and remember all of our beautiful memories. But Damnit Cindi, you left us too soon!

She is survived by her husband Jerry; children Dustan Skantz (Taylor Gibbs) and Karisa Abelseth (Whitney Segelke); grandchildren Jeremiah Gibbs and Hudson Skantz; father Carl Skantz; mother Shirley (Richard) Payette; siblings Tami Williams, Lori Velcheff, Kristi Currie, Sheri Skantz (Todd Bergseng), Robbie (Robyn) Skantz; step-brother Andre (Rachel) Payette, Daniel (Kelly) Payette and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles as well as beloved pets Ringo and Taz.
