Chris Metzler

Chris Metzler, age 53, of Cottage Grove, passed away on March 26, 2012. Survived by children, Matthew Deneau, Jeremy Metzler, Cassie (Brandon) Soltys; father, George; siblings, Steve (Lynn), Nancy (Robert) Mathewson, Julie Jansen, Joe (Lisa), Rose (Wes) Bidwell, and Robert; grandson, Dylan Soltys; ex-wife, Mary Deneau- Metzler; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Preceded in death by mother, Regina. Chris proudly served in the United States Marines and worked as a paramedic for 30 years. He will always be remembered for his passion to ride his motorcycle. Visitation 4-8 PM, Sunday, April 1, 2012 at Kok Funeral Home, 1201 Portland Ave., St. Paul Park, MN and continuing one hour prior to the service Monday, all at the funeral home. Funeral Service 11:30 AM, Monday, April 2, 2012 at Kok Funeral Home, 1201 Portland Ave., St. Paul Park, MN. Interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery immediately following the service. In lieu of flower, memorials are preferred to the family.
