Cheryl Ann Karnitz

Cheryl Ann Karnitz, 70, of St. Paul, formerly of Cottage Grove, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 after a long battle with MS.

In 1971, Cheryl graduated from Park High School in Cottage Grove.  She was an accountant for the paper industry and spent her career in the same building, working for Boise Cascade Paper, Williamette, Weyerhauser, and International Paper.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Norbert and Lula; niece, Shelbi Den Herder; and nephews, Darrin and Caleb Karnitz.

Cheryl will be missed by her siblings, Cynthia (Randall) Den Herder, Michael (Wendy Nelson) Karnitz, and Christine (Charles) Alexander; nieces and nephews, Joel (Tanya) Karnitz, Jason (Susan) Karnitz, Kari (John Harlander) Den Herder, Cortnee (Christopher) Castleberry, Ryan (Elizabeth) Den Herder, Tammy (Nicholas) Malfatti, and Jeremy (Brittiany) Jersvig; great nieces and nephews; and other family and friends.

Memorial Service will be Monday, May 15 at 11 AM with visitation 10-11 AM at Rose of Sharon Lutheran Church, 6875 Jamaica Ave., Cottage Grove.  Interment at Cottage Grove Cemetery.
