Charlotte Reibel

Our beloved Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma & Great-Great Grandma, Charlotte Dorothy (Hane) Reibel, age 98, a longtime resident of St. Paul Park passed away peacefully on June 28th 2015 at the Good Samaritan Care Center in Maplewood. Heaven has a new guest of honor today!

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 am Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 920 Holley Ave., St. Paul Park with visitation one hour prior at church. Interment will be at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, White Bear Lake.

Charlotte Dorothy (Hane) Reibel was born November 5, 1916 in White Bear Lake, Minnesota and the family spent a few years in Duluth before returning to the White Bear Lake area where she grew up. She met the love of her life, Frank Reibel and the two of them were married and eventually moved to St. Paul Park where they raised their children. Charlotte loved and lived life to the fullest. She played golf with her husband Frank and was very involved in St. Thomas Aquinas Church in St. Paul Park. She was the first woman in the parish to give communion and serve as a lector, visited the sick, was president of the woman's council and spent hours volunteering her time serving food to the homeless at Dorothy Day Center in St. Paul. Her most memorable moments were spending several days with Mother Theresa during her visit to the Twin Cities. Her beautiful smile will be missed but always remembered. Charlotte was a dedicated, devoted, loving, kind and humble woman.

Charlotte is preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years Frank F.; grandson Richard (Rick) Reibel whom she loved dearly. She is survived by 4 loving children; son James (Sue), daughter Elaine Kaufhold, son Robin (Vi), and son Gregory (Leanne); grandchildren Sara Samuels (Alex), Katie Reibel, Scott, Mary Jo (Wayne), John (Micky), Jennifer Reibel Carlson, Marie Reibel Casey (Bob), & Fred along with many wonderful great and great-great grandchildren.
