Charlie Dopkins, age 94, of Cottage Grove, passed away peacefully from natural causes on Monday, August 16, 2021.

Preceded in death by wife of 66 years, Peggy; parents, Howard and Ruby; sisters, Margie Holloway, Doris Mohr, and Delores Ivers; brother, Dick; son-in-law, Jack DeMarre; and lifelong friend, Dick Gagnelius. Survived by daughters, Kathy DeMarre, Sue (Doug) Malcolm, and Cindy (Gary) Yff; eight grandchildren; eleven great- grandchildren; brother, Don (Chris); and many nieces and nephews.

Charlie was born in St. Paul, MN in 1927. He married Peggy Carlson in 1952; they moved their family to Cottage Grove, MN in 1962. After retirement from 3M, Charlie enjoyed woodworking and projects around the house and yard.

Memorial Service on Monday, August 23, 2021 at 11 AM with visitation beginning at 10 AM at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80th St. S., Cottage Grove, MN, 55016. Interment to follow at Cottage Grove Cemetery with military honors.
