Age 72 of Cottage Grove, Minnesota, passed courageously of heart complications on June 3, 2007. Charlie was born on February 9, 1935 in Lawton, North Dakota, the son of Frank and Emma Rysavy. He attended a country school near the family farm. On December 15, 1961, Charles Rysavy and Dianne Alme were united in marriage in Whitman, North Dakota. After living in California for three years, the couple then made their home in Cottage Grove, Minnesota. Retiring from the United States Postal Service in 1997, he completed 32 years of dedicated service as a mail carrier. Charlie enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, gardening, feeding the birds and cooking. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Dianne; children, Kim (Jim) Schwind, Lisa (Clint) Briggs, Jason; grandchildren, Jordan, Cassidy, Savanna, Kalley, Jackson, Micah; brother, Clarence. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A special thanks to Einar for his friendship and support. Charlie is preceded in death by parents, 4 brothers, 2 sisters.
