Charles Chevalier

Charles Chevalier, age 77, of Cottage Grove died Monday morning July 15, 2013 at Regina Care Center in Hastings.

Charles Francis Chevalier was born April 10, 1936 in Britton, South Dakota the son of Veila & Vivian (Baird) Chevalier. He was raised in Forman, North Dakota and graduated from Forman High School in 1954. On July 6, 1963 he was united in marriage with Ruth Jenek in Roselle Park, New Jersey. Charles served in the United States Army and was stationed in Frankfurt, Germany. He was a two million miler and won many awards for his driving skills. Charles worked 27 years for Dahlen Transport. He loved baseball and was a good farmer and gardener. Charles admired golf and enjoyed watching Twins Baseball. He was a lifelong Cubs and Twins fan. Charles loved traveling.

Beloved husband of Ruth; loving father of John (Kristi), Lisa (Timothy) Kreitz, Suzanna, Anita Louise, Thomas Francis; grandfather of Taylor, Kennedy, Allisa, Angelita, Emily, Jessica; great-grandfather of Mya Maria; brother of Robert (Joan), Verna (Peter) Higson, Rita (Del) Berryman; many nieces & nephews.

Preceded in death by parents, Veila & Vivian.

Visitation 4-8 Pm with 7 PM Memorial Service Thursday at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80th St. S. Cottage Grove. In lieu of flowers memorials to Hydrocephalic Association.
