Charlene A. Jahnke
74 of Cottage Grove died peacefully, January 26, 2016.
Charlene was born December 19, 1941 in Chicago to Angelo & Salvatrice(Minitello)"Laura" Immordino, the youngest of two. She attended Robert A. Waller High School and graduated in January of 1960.
Charlene married the boy next door, William Jahnke on October 13, 1962 at St. Phillip Benizi Catholic Church in Chicago and in 1968 they moved to Golden, Colorado. In 1972 they made the move to Coon Rapids, Minnesota where they raised their three children. Charlene and Bill made their final move to Cottage Grove, Minnesota in 2010 loving their Norris Square Community.
She was proud of her "Presidents Club" status for Avon which she earned for 10+ years. She enjoyed crocheting and donating her work to the Children's Cancer Research Fund. Charlene loved to read books and looked forward to her Book Club meetings. Her ability to navigate technology was admired by many especially her children.
Survived by loving husband of 55 years William "Bill"; children Christopher (Ann), Cathleen (Jesse) Stowers, Tim (Amanda); 11 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; brother Sam (Janet) Immordino; best friend Sherri Hollembeak and her children Shawn, Lori, Michael, Todd. Preceded in death by parents Angelo & Salvatrice "Laura", Mr. George Hollembeak; furry companions Guido, Gina Jo.
Mass of Christian Burial 11 am, Friday, Feb. 5, at Church of St. Rita (8694 80th St. S. Cottage Grove) with a visitation starting at 10 am. Private interment Epiphany Cemetery, Coon Rapids.
