Cecil "Cec" Schlagel, age 88, of Cottage Grove, died on his 88th Birthday.
Cecil Leroy Schlagel was born March 18, 1926 in Pasco, Washington the son of Paul & Henrietta (Andrews) Schlagel. He was raised in Washington and was united in marriage with Bonnie Jean Morgan on April 7, 1947 in Pasco, Washington. Cecil served in the United States Air Force. He was a longtime employee of Northern Pacific & Burlington Northern Railroads. Cecil volunteered at Friends in Need Food Shelf for eighteen years. He was a blue ribbon award winning woodcarver, and an avid golfer.
Cecil was married 66 years to Bonnie; loving dad of David (Donna) of Colorado, Doug of Arizona, Marie (Ron) Levitus of Minnesota, Tom (Bonnie) of New York; granddaughters Arianna (Ray) DeLorenzi, Morgan, Michelle, Jenny Kate; sisters-in-law Joy & Donna of Washington.
Private family interment will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
