Catherine "Cathi" Geisler

Catherine “Cathi” Ann (Dunlap) Geisler, age 70 of Cottage Grove, Minnesota, passed away April 1, 2018.

Private services are planned.

Cathi was born November 20, 1947 in Pueblo, Colorado and attended college at the University of Colorado in Boulder, graduating in 1970 with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry.  It was there that she met the love of her life, Thomas Geisler and the couple was married on August 23, 1969.  They moved to Minnesota where she worked for the VA and later as a manager at MTS Systems in Eden Prairie until 1992.  She also did consulting and teaching in the area of quality training over the next several years.  Cathi enjoyed gardening, fishing, woodworking and woodturning.  She also enjoyed traveling to various places in the US and Europe for work as well as pleasure.  Cathi and Tom spent the winter months in Oro Valley, Arizona over the past 12 years.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Thomas; daughter Gaylene Geisler; sisters Nicole “Nicki” Bechtloff and Patty Dunlap; in-laws Holly Bond, Lynn Mainik, Richard (Diana) Geisler and Daniel (Cathy) Geisler as well as several nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents Frederick and Dorothy; sister Dorothy “Dotti” Dunlap; brothers Perry “Gus” Dunlap and Phillip “Butch” Mainik Jr.; and “adopted parents” Phillip and Wilma Mainik.
