Carolyn Jean was born August 7, 1938 in Buckhannon, West Virginia the daughter of Francis & Vesta (Howes) Fitzgerald. She graduated from Buckhannon-Upshur High School in 1957. She married John Richman in 1958.
She was preceded in death by her parents Francis & Vesta (Howes) Fitzgerald; son Sammy; daughter-in-law Elisa; brother Conard L. "Bud" Fitzgerald; sister Betty L. Fluharty.
Beloved wife for 49 years of John; loving mother of Johnny of Woodbury, Angela (Mark) Whitcomb of Cottage Grove, Tamatha (Titus) McKnight of Minneapolis; grandmother of Katrina (Matthew) Kitchens, Savanna both of Tennessee; Michael (Jenna), Sean, Samantha, Titus, Tatziana, Tavia; great-grandmother of Joel, Kayden and baby to be expected in December; sister of Donald S. (Ruth) Fitzgerald of Norfolk, VA, Robert E. (Helen) Fitzgerald of Brick, NJ, Kathleen A. Riggleman of Mansfield, OH, Jacqueline M. (Robert) Thomas of Bridgeport, WV, Charlotte J.
