Carole J. Biscoe age 83 of Cottage Grove passed away Thursday, March 10, 2022.
A funeral service will be 11 am, Friday, March 18, 2022 at the Cottage Grove United Church of Christ, 7008 Lamar Avenue South, Cottage Grove with visitation starting at 9 am until the service. Interment Cottage Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Cottage Grove United Church of Christ.
Carole was born August 1, 1938 in St. Paul, Minnesota to David and Mae Weitzel. She grew up in Old Cottage Grove and graduated from Park High School in 1956. Family was everything to her throughout her life and she was blessed with 5 children whom she adored. In the early 1970’s, Carole completed her LPN training and served as a nurse for several years before taking a position at West Publishing where she was employed until her retirement. On September 6, 1992, she was united in marriage to Robert Biscoe at Cottage Grove United Church of Christ.
Carole loved sewing and baking and was able to operate a small-scale cookie business out of her home. She was a committed member of the Cottage Grove United Church of Christ and served in numerous capacities including the farmers market, where she was in charge of the bake sale.
Carole was an amazing, loving grandma and great-grandma. She was generous with her time and had a way of making everyone around her feel special.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert; son Joseph; parents David and Mae; sister Sharon Euerle and son-in-law Chris. Carole is survived her children Don (Cathy) Paulson , Deb McCoy, Bob (Sue) Paulson, Danita (Mike) Bertram, Lisa (Wayne) Christen, 12 grandchildren, Brianne, Dustin, Tommy, Ashton, Kate, Michael, Daniel, Ryan, Tara, Cole, Travis and Sydney; 14 great grandchildren; sisters Marilyn Heschke, Judy Lauber and Betty Hartnett; brothers Butch Weitzel, Duane Weitzel and many other relatives and friends.
