Carol Virginia Penning, age 93, of Cottage Grove, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, April 27, 2023.
Carol was a secretary for School District 833 and retired in 1993. She was an active member of the Community United Church of Christ and South Washington County Senior Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. in 1996; parents, Fred and Amber; and sister, Ruth.
Carol will be missed by her son, William L.; grandchildren, Clayton, Brittany, and Emily Penning; sister-in-law, Lorraine; nieces; nephews; and other family and friends.
Evening visitation will be Wednesday, May 10th from 4-7pm at Kok Funeral Home, 1201 Portland Ave., St. Paul Park. Memorial Service will be Thursday, May 11th at 10am with visitation 9-10am at Newport United Methodist Church, 1596 11th Ave., Newport. Interment at Cottage Grove Cemetery.
Memorials preferred to donor's choice in Carol's name.
