Carol Harwell, age 73, of Newport died early Tuesday morning, June 11, 2013.
Carol Jean was born March 13, 1940 in St. Paul, Minnesota the daughter of George & Lucille (Weins) Smith. She was raised in Roseville and graduated from Alexander Ramsey High School in 1958. Carol enjoyed gradening, reading and doing crafts and puzzles.
She is the beloved mother of Carrie (Doug) Schmdt, Wayne, Laurie Petersen; grandmother of Jenni, Katie, Willie, Joey; great-grandma of Jaxson; sister of Betty (Don) Fischer, Lucille (Richard) Anderson, Mary Nelson, Georgeann (Jeff) Larson; many nieces & nephews; loving companion Roger Becker.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents George & Lucille Smith.
Visitation 2-4 PM Monday with 4 PM Memorial Service at KOK FUNERAL HOME, 7676 80TH St. S. Cottage Grove, 651-459-2875. Private inurnment.
