Carol Ann Borg

Carol Ann Borg, age 84 of Grey Cloud Island, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 15, 2023.

Carol worked for Northwest Airlines as a cleaner for 33 years, starting in 1967. She was also a dedicated volunteer for 13 years at the Friends in Need Food Shelf in St. Paul Park. Carol will always be remembered for her love of shopping, travelling, visiting the casino “the cabin”, and for being a lifetime resident of Grey Cloud Island.

Carol is survived by her children, Victoria “Vicki” Hanner and Ray Borg; grandchildren, Mickie (Justin) Meyer, Melissa Catlin, Mindi Catlin, Ray Borg, and Michael Borg; great grandchildren, Jade Hurd and Aurelia Meyer; sister, Barb Rogers; and special friend, Bill Rehak.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Borg; son, Jeff Borg; and sisters, Dorothy Borg and Doris Reinhart.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at 11am at Kok Funeral Home (7676 80^th Street S. Cottage Grove, MN) with visitation beginning at 10am. Carol will be laid to rest at Grey Cloud Island Township Cemetery.

In celebration of Carol’s life, all are encouraged to wear purple at the memorial service.
