Carl Pearson

Carl D. Pearson, Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, age 76 of Cottage Grove, MN, passed peacefully surrounded by family on March 14, 2007. Carl was born on January 15, 1931 in St. Paul, Minnesota, the son of Chester and Harriet Pearson. He was raised in White Bear Lake, Minnesota and attended White Bear Lake High School. On December 29, 1973, Mary Knudsen and Carl Pearson were united in marriage at East Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Saint Paul, Minnesota. After 38 years of service with the Minnesota Department of Finance, he continued his passion as an avid cyclist. He was a passionate singer with the Minneapolis Commodores Barbershop Chorus. Carl collected many things and enjoyed the creativity and imagination of his granddaughter. Carl is survived by loving wife of 33 years, Mary; children, John (Becki), Jeff (Erin); granddaughter, Makayla; brother, Dick (Diane); sister, Diane. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral Service Monday, March 19, 2007 at 11 AM at COTTAGE GROVE UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, 7008 Lamar Avenue, Cottage Grove, MN. Visitation Sunday, March 18, 2007, 4-7 PM at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80th St. So. Cottage Grove, MN (651-459-2875) and 10-11 AM Monday at church. Interment Cottage Grove Cemetery.
