Candice Riebe

Candice Marie Riebe (nee:Tomscak) age 70 of Cottage Grove, joined her son, Christopher in heaven on July 21, 2017.

Mass of Christian Burial 11 am, Wednesday, July 26 at The Church of St. Rita (8694 80th St. S. Cottage Grove) with visitation 5:30-7:30 pm, Tuesday, July 25 at Kok Funeral Home (7676 80th St. S.) and one hour prior to mass at church. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Mendota Heights, MN. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred.

Survived by loving husband of 48 years Pat “Butch”; daughter, Michele; twin sister, Connie Pharmer; sisters, Mavis (Curt) Inman, Marlys (Paul) Kinsella, Renee (Jim) Leonard; many other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by parents, Stanley Sr. & Inez; brother, Stanley Jr., sister, Mary Ann.

Candice was born July 4, 1947 to Stanley & Inez (Grieger) Tomscak in Echo, Minnesota. She grew up in Willow River on her family farm, and graduated from Willow River High School in 1968. Shortly after high school she moved to St. Paul to work for Webb Publishing and on her first day on the job she met Patrick Riebe. They married on November 1, 1969 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in St. Paul. Candy worked on and off at Webb Publishing until they closed in 2000. She worked at Renewal by Anderson from 2000-2010 and was a school bus assistant for South Washington County from 2011-2013. In her free time Candice loved to go to casino and play Bingo, work in her yard, craft, and especially loved camping and time around the bonfire. She was a past member of the St. Paul Park American Legion Auxiliary and a Lioness with the Cottage Grove Lions.
