Bruce Long

age 86 of Cottage Grove on May 2, 2009 .

Bruce Lathrop Long was born December 2, 19 22 in White Bear Lake , Minnesota the son of Lloyd & Edna (Lathrop) Long. His family farmed in Forest Lake and Woodbury. He graduated from Harding High School . At the age of 18 he moved to Cottage Grove . He was united in marriage with Barbara Klinefelter. He enjoyed the farm, the country and deer hunting.

He is survived by wife Barbara; children Scott and Susan (Dalen) Gudmunson; grandchildren Natalie, Joshua, Kyle; brothers Erwin (Gloria), Orville (Lovey); sister-in-law Phyllis; many nieces and nephews.

Bruce was preceded in death by brother Merrit.

Funeral Service 11 AM Friday at HOPE COMMUNITY CHURCH , 8300 Hyde Ave , Cottage Grove . Interment Roselawn Cemetery . Visitation 5-8 PM Thursday at KOK FUNERAL HOME, 7676 80 ^th Street S., Cottage Grove (651-459-2875) and one hour prior to service at church. Memorials to Muscular Dystrophy Assoc.
