Boyd Dufour

Boyd L. Dufour 89 formerly of St. Paul Park died peacefully surrounded by loving family Oct. 29, 2015. Boyd grew up in St. Paul, after completing his GED he joined the Merchant Marines and served in World War II in the South Pacific. He met his wife Carol Witzel when he was in 6th grade and she was in 5th. They married in St. Paul Park July 18, 1946. Boyd and Carol were blessed with 6 children Pat, Greg, Mike, Nan, Barb & Chris. He was very active in the Newport/St. Paul Park Masonic Lodge #118 and worked for Ashland oil for many years as an electrician. He was a member of Local IBEW 110. Boyd enjoyed working in his yard, spending time outdoors, wildlife and traveling.
He will be missed by his loving children Pat (Linda), Greg (Connie), Mike (Denise), Nan (Russ) Sime, Barb (Doug) Krier, Chris Pederson; 18 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; sister Joanne(Don) Giefer; brother in law Gordon (Dorothy) Witzel; many other relative and friends.
He is preceded in death by wife Carol; parents Joseph & Faith(Stevens);sister and brother in law June and Cecil Lowe, sister in law Lorraine Witzel.
Funeral service 11am Saturday, November 7 at Kok Funeral Home with a visitation starting at 10am. Interment Cottage Grove Cemetery.
