Beverly Raun

Beverly "Bev" Ann Raun, age 69 of Cottage Grove, passed away unexpectedly and surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, February 2, 2023.

Bev was born on January 22, 1954 in Warren, Ohio to Leslie and Lavonne (nee Lloyd) Menk. She graduated from Bloomington Lincoln High School in 1972. Bev married Kevin Raun on July 14th, 1973 and would be celebrating their 50th anniversary in July 2023. Bev and Kevin met in high school where Kevin was immediately smitten with Bev's inner and outer beauty and they became instant soul mates for life.

Bev will always be remembered as a selfless woman; she always put her family and friends first and would drop whatever she was doing to help her family. Bev also loved animals, shopping and crafting. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Bev felt blessed to have met and made so many good lifelong friends through the years and will be greatly missed by all who knew her!

She is survived by her husband, Kevin; Bev and Kevin's children, Kristin (Pete) and David (Katie); Bev's son, Mike (Darcy); grandchildren, Alec, Madeline, and Kayla; great grandson, Landon; and brothers, Ron, and Brian.

Bev was preceded in death by her son, Daniel; parents, Leslie, and Lavonne; and sister, Linda.

A memorial service will be held at St. Luke Lutheran Church (7000 Hinton Ave S, Cottage Grove, MN) on Sunday, February 26, 2023, at 2:30pm. Visitation will begin at 1pm. Bev will be laid to rest at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, beside her son Daniel, at a later date.
