Beverly Krienke

Beverly Krienke, age 80 of Cottage Grove, passed away February 20, 2015 at the Regina Care Center in Hastings after a long illness.

Memorial service 2 pm, Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015 with visitation starting at 12 noon at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 – 80th Street S., Cottage Grove. Interment at Newport Cemetery. We would like to thank Regina Care Center and Allina Hospice for their compassionate care during our mom's illness.

Beverly Ann Krienke was born October 2, 1934 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Clarence and Mabel (Mulkins) Brunzel. She grew up in South St. Paul where she graduated from high school in 1953. Beverly was united in marriage to Roger Krienke and they made their home in St. Paul Park for a few years before moving to their home in Cottage Grove in 1958. She worked at Snyder's in Cottage Grove and also Garelick's in St. Paul Park for a time but cherished the time she was able to enjoy at home as they raised their children. Among her hobbies were crafts of all kinds including cross stitch and knitting. She loved to cook and bake, especially when it came to cookie making at Christmas time. In her later years, Beverly worked at the bingo hall in Cottage Grove for several years.

She was preceded in death by husband Roger. Beverly is survived by her children, Bonnie (Mike) Danzl, Ronald (Karen) Krienke and Cathy Krienke; grandchildren, Breeanna (Brian) Marty, Christy (Andy) Schmidt, Jenaca Krienke, Scott Danzl and Candace Krienke; great-grandchildren, Brittany, Hailee, Kyle, Chase, Ava, Lucy and Quinn; also other relatives and friends and beloved cat Dusty.
