Bernard Gille

Bernard "Bernie" Gille, age 61 of Cottage Grove, formerly of South St Paul, passed away peacefully at home after a heroic three year battle with cancer. Bernie will be remembered for his witty sense of humor, sharp tongue and many "Bernie-isms". He lit up a room with his presence and charismatic personality, and made everyone feel special in some way. He was employed with Xcel Energy for his entire career, retiring as an electric Network Designer. Bernie entered into eternal rest on September 3rd, 2016.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 am, Friday September 9, 2016 at The Church of St. Rita, 8694 – 80th St. S., Cottage Grove. Visitation will be 4-7:30 pm on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2016 at Kok Funeral Home, 7676-80th Street S., Cottage Grove and also for one hour prior to the service at church. Interment Cottage Grove Cemetery.

Bernie is survived by his wife Susan; children Megan (James), Makayla, and Michael; one grandson Corbin; siblings Terry (Carole), Greg (Aimee), many nieces and nephews along with many relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Madonna and Brother Larry (Mary Lou).
