of Cottage Grove as a result of heart complications on Sept. 1, 2008 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester .





Bernadine Marlys was born May 18, 19 28 in St. Paul , Minnesota the daughter of Fredrick & Minnie (Schmiginski) Pribnow. She was raised in Stillwater and graduated from Stillwater High School in 1946. On June 3, 195 0 Bernadine was united in marriage with Ralph McHattie at Woodbury United Methodist Church in Woodbury. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a charter member of the Lioness Club (which later merged with the Lions Club).





Bernadine is the beloved wife of Ralph; loving mother to Karen (Arden) Graber of Hugo, Keith (Bonnie) of Cottage Grove, Barb (Bryan) Olson of Woodbury; grandmother of Clay (Jennie), Brad, Bridget (Tom), Kristin, Danny, Jessica, Bethany, Aimee; great-grandmother of Wyatt; sister of LaVerne Benson of Woodbury; many nieces & nephews.





She was preceded in death by sisters LeMae Rhein & Donna Christensen; parents Fred & Minnie Pribnow.





Funeral Service 10:30 AM Saturday at WOODBURY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 7465 Steepleview Rd Woodbury. Interment Cottage Grove Cemetery. Visitation 4-8 PM with a 7 PM Order of the Eastern Star Service Friday at KOK FUNERAL HOME, 7676 80 TH ST. S. Cottage Grove (651-459-2875) and 9:30 -10:30 AM Sat. at church.
