age 81, of Cottage Grove died on Friday evening May 16, 2008 at the Woodbury Health Care Center.
Austin Ingmar Kasa was born January 24, 1927 in Nerstrand, Minnesota the son of Austin & Ida (Remme) Kasa. He was raised near Dennison. In 1951 he was united in marriage with JoAnn Raabolle in Dennison. He enjoyed hunting pheasants and spending time with his family. He was a longtime member and custodian at Newport Lutheran Church.
He is the beloved husband of JoAnn; loving father of Richard (Diana), Patricia (Don) Baron, Craig; grandfather of Christopher (Kirstin), Eric (Heather), Rachel (Tommy) Lofgren; Jonathan (Mary), Amanda (Dave) Copeland, Daniel, Travis, Lauren; great-grandfather of Niklas, Elise, Justin, Evan, Ana, Max. Austin was preceded in death by his granddaughter Ashley.
Funeral Service 11 AM Wednesday at NEWPORT LUTHERAN CHURCH, 900 15th St.
Newport. Interment Cottage Grove Cemetery. Visitation 4-8 PM Tuesday at
KOK FUNERAL HOME, 7676 80th St. S. Cottage Grove (651-459-2875) and 10-11 AM Wed. at church.
