Arthur McKusick

Arthur L. McKusick, Age 68 of Cottage Grove, formerly of St. Paul, Passed away June 25, 2015.

Memorial service will be 11 am, Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Crossroads Church, 5900 Woodbury Drive, Woodbury, MN 55129 with visitation one hour prior.

Arthur Lee McKusick was born September 22, 1946 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Dean and Lucille (Johnson) McKusick and attended Johnson High School. He entered active duty in the US Navy and faithfully served his country from 1964-68. He met Sharon Koshenina at a YMCA judo class and the two of them were married on June 20, 1970 in St. Paul at St. Patrick's Church. They lived in St. Paul where he was employed at Torit Corporation as a welder until 1983. Art also worked for St. Paul Stamp Works, Valmont Industries as well as Dakota County Government Center. Art and Sharon moved to Cottage Grove in 1999. He enjoyed photography, hunting, fishing, Tootsie Rolls and his dogs, Chandler and Penny. Art had a heart for others as was shown in his mentorship with Dakota County Juvenile Detention Center as well as the Washington County Restorative Justice Circle. He also loved riding his motorcycle, camping and traveling.

Art is survived by his wife Sharon; daughters, Julie (Daniel) Clark and JoAnn (David) Glowartz; 10 granchildren, Mackenzie, Brandon, Alexis, Sydney, Samantha, Jimmy, Erin, Payton, Gabrielle, Alliah; two future great-grand twins; sisters, Sandy (Geoff) Bartenhagen, LouAnn (Karl) Nordwall, Mary Davis, Marie (Joe) Jacques and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dean and Lucille McKusick; brother Roger and nephew Robert.
