Anthony Mencacci

Anthony "Tony" Mencacci, age 45 of Cottage Grove, passed away February 7, 2016 at Fairview University Hospital in Minneapolis.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 am, Friday, February 12, 2016 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 920 Holley Avenue, St. Paul Park. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00-8:00 pm at the church and also one hour prior to the service on Friday. Interment will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.

Anthony Richard Mencacci was born March 2, 1970 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Richard and Karen Mencacci. He grew up in Cottage Grove and graduated from Park High School in 1988. Tony spent a short time in the printing industry before taking on a position in production for Gross Given Manufacturing in St. Paul. In the early 2000's he started as a truck driver and worked for a variety of companies including Twin City Pallet doing local and over the road jobs.

Tony was a good natured guy who genuinely cared about others. He loved his family dearly and was a good friend to many. He loved motorcycles… whether it was riding or detailing, he took pride in his bike…and his hair.

He is survived by his wife Michelle; son Vincent; daughter Christina (Justin) Peterson; granddaughter Lillian; parents, Richard and Karen; brother, Joseph (Cyndi); sister Nicole (Tad) Tschida; grandma Delores Lange and also loved my many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and in-laws. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Delores Mencacci and Elmer Lange as well as mother and father-in-law, William and Marie Kostelecky.
