Ann Marie Mattson

Ann Marie Mattson, age 68, of Cottage Grove, found peace on Saturday, December 9, 2023, after struggling with Primary Progressive Aphasia (Frontal Lobe Dementia).

Preceded in death by parents, George "Judd" and Grace Pribyl; and brother, Donald Pribyl. Survived by son, Jordan (Alicia) Mattson; daughter, Jacqueline "Jacqui" Mattson; siblings, Patti Pribyl-Brown (Jim Brown) and Jeff (Nancy) Pribyl; sister-in-law, Anna Pribyl (Rick Gunderson); friend and caregiver, Cindy (Bert) Schmitt; many other loving family and friends.

Ann was well educated, a world traveler, former postal employee, and much loved teacher at Visitation School and a para at East Ridge High School. Ann was a lifelong learner and passionate educator who chose to donate her body to the University of Minnesota (Anatomy Bequest Program) for research.

Celebration of Life 5 PM with gathering of family and friends beginning at 4 PM, Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80th St. S., Cottage Grove, MN 55016. Memorials preferred; donations will be given in Ann's name to the Courage Center.
