Amber Pick

Amber Lynn Pick, age 25 of Hager City, WI, formerly of St. Paul Park died unexpectedly on September 1, 2013.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am Monday, September 9, 2013 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 920 Holley Ave. St. Paul Park. Visitation will be Sunday 2:00-5:00 pm at Kok Funeral Home, 1201 Portland Ave., St. Paul Park and also for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Amber Lynn Pick was born in South St. Paul, Minnesota on January 7, 1988, the oldest of three children to Daniel and Mary (Bilderback) Pick. She grew up in St. Paul Park and graduated from Park High School in 2006. At a young age she found out that her interests were in carpentry and had been employed at Varco Contracting over the past 10 years.

Amber was an avid outdoors woman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and nurturing her flowers and vegetables in the garden. During the winter months she spent her time snowmobiling, ice fishing and four-wheeling. Amber was extremely creative and talented which can be seen in her custom flower beds, drawing, quilting, crocheting, sewing and also her carpentry work. She loved to create in the kitchen and was an excellent cook, baker and enjoyed canning. She valued her family and friends and treasured her time over the years growing up at the family cabin on Oak Lake.

Amber was known as a natural caregiver who loved life and lived it to the fullest. She was known for always striving for perfection in everything she put her hands to. Amber poured her heart out to everyone she loved. She never said it with words, but actions. She'd cook and clean and drive however many hours to make those she loved know that she loved them.

She is survived by her parents; Dan and Mary; sister Hannah and brother Austin; special niece Gracie; grandmothers, Delores Pick and Donna Bilderback and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. She is preceded in death by her grandfathers, David Pick and Harry Bilderback.
