Allen L. Engen 62, of Shoreview, passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2007 at Regions Hospital in Saint Paul following a short illness.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 29, 2007 at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80th Street, Cottage Grove. Friends may call after 9:30 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. www.kokfuneral.com
Allen was born September 13, 1945 in Bemidji, Minnesota, the son of Ole and Sarah (Brandbold) Engen. He was raised and educated in Clearbrook, Minnesota, graduating from Clearbrook High School. In 1965 he moved to the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, where he drove a bus for the Metropolitan Transit Company until retiring in 2007 due to his health. He especially enjoyed the outdoors and hunting.
Allen Engen is survived by his four brothers; Alvin of Circle Pines, Marvin and his wife, Gail of Elk Horn, Wisconsin, Robert and his wife, Shirley of Newport and Lloyd and his wife, Phyllis Engen of Clearbrook, and a special friend, Diana Edwards. He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters; Olga, Violet, Ruby & Elvina.
