Alice Burke, age 74 of St. Paul Park died Friday morning January 25, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital in St. Paul.
Alice Marie was born September 13, 1938 in Hibbing, Minnesota the daughter of Raymond & Frances (Allison) Erickson. She was raised in Kerr Location, a suburb of Hibbing. He graduated from Hibbing High School in 1956. On January 14, 1961 she was united in marriage with James F. Burke Jr. Alice retired from Washington County as a court clerk. She enjoyed knitting and traveling. Alice will be remembered as a supportive and active parent & grandparent. She volunteered for Friends in Need Food Shelf. Alice served on the St. Paul Park Planning Commission and the Citizen's Committee for Marathon Ashland Refinery in St. Paul Park.
Alice is the beloved wife of James; loving mother of Tracy (Bill) Barnhart, James, Kelley (Ronald) Puppe; grandmother of William, Jack, Ellen, James, Mark, Isabelle, Leah, Michelle; sister of Carl (Pat) Erickson, sister-in-law of Paul Bruncke; many nieces, nephews & cousins.
She was preceded in death by her sister Norma Bruncke.
Visitation 4-7 PM Thursday at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80th St. S. Cottage Grove with a 7 PM Prayer Service. Memorials to Friends in Need Food Shelf.
