Alfred Born

Alfred Peter Born age 73 of Cottage Grove, formerly of New Prague passed away peacefully at his home on Monday afternoon September 18, 2006. Alfred was born 1/13/1933 in Union Hill, MN to Hubert and Anna Born. Alfred grew up in the New Prague area and graduated from New Prague High School in 1951. Alfred was united in marriage to Janice Vostad on August 22, 1959 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in St. Patrick, MN. Alfred served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict before returning home to work and retire from Thermo King Refrigeration Company. Alfred is preceded in death by his parents Anna (Barton) and Hubert Born, brothers Joseph and Gilbert. Alfred is survived by loving wife Janice of 47 years; brother Elmer Born of Inver Grove Heights; and many nieces and nephews.
