Albert Samuelson

Albert Collin Samuelson, age 94, of Cottage Grove, MN died Sunday, September 28, 2014.

Born November 12, 1919 in Elgin, IL, Albert grew up in the Chicago area. He graduated from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN and also earned an MBA at the University of Illinois. In 1941 he married Jeanlyn Gunderson of Madison, WI to whom he remained married until her death earlier this year.

Albert started his career as an accountant for Arthur Andersen, LLC, then went to Ford Motor Company, and finally to Skelly Oil Company in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he became Financial Vice President. He was listed in "Who's Who in America," active in the Lutheran church, and also a World War II veteran. He retired to Colorado Springs.

He is survived by his children Dr. Stephen Samuelson of Jacksonville, FL, John Samuelson of Ridgeland, WI, and Dr. Mary Kristin Samuelson of New Orleans, LA; grandchildren Derek, Nic, Holly, Leslie, Robert and Janine; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will take place 10:30 AM Tuesday October 7, 2014 at Kok Funeral Home, 1201 Portland Ave St. Paul Park, MN with Funeral Service at 11:30 AM. Interment will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery in Madison, Wisconsin.
