Pete passed away at home unexpectedly on March 18, 2007 while doing his daily exercise on his treadmill. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred, 11 siblings, and 2 great-grandsons. Pete is survived by his daughters Joyce Syring, Shirley MacKenzie, Dorothy Marier and his special cat ?Kitty?. He leaves behind 7 grandchildren - William, David, Lynette, Grant, Donald, Derek, and Michelle; 10 great-grandchildren - Londyn, Nicholas, Jacob, Logan, Hadley, Peyton, Ainsley, Millie, Aaron, and Alexis. Pete proudly served as a Gunner?s Mate Third Class, U.S. Navy, World War II. He was a tool and die maker from 1945 until his retirement. After retirement, for the next 18 years, he enjoyed creating precision wooden crafts and displaying them at numerous craft shows. Pete was always looking forward to his next project up until the day he passed away. Throughout his lifetime, he was an avid gardener and had a special love for his vegetable and flower gardens. A private family service and internment was held on Friday, March 23, 2007. Memorials preferred to Animal Ark in Hastings or donor?s favorite charity. Arr.
